Major steps to tackle the effects of deafness

In 2017, the World Health Assembly (WHA), the highest decision-making body of the World Health Organization, passed a resolution on a worldwide policy plan for hearing health. The resolution outlines major steps to tackle the effects of deafness and hearing loss, including better access to affordable, high-quality hearing solutions, such as hearing aids and cochlear implants, as part of universal healthcare1.

At Ziehm Imaging, we understand the importance to deliver well-suited tools for high-precision, intraoperative imaging, supporting the visualization of tiny electrode contacts within the cochlea.

That is why we offer a dedicated cochlea package for the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D CMOSline2. This system can be seen as an innovative method that may have the potential to change the clinical procedure of cochlear implantation, achieving more accuracy for the placement while still in the OR.

Ziehm Vision RFD 3D CMOSline -
A well-suited tool to visualize smallest details in cochlear implantation

Our mobile C-arm offers unprecedented performance across the most varied and challenging application spectrum. It combines 2D excellence with advanced intraoperative 3D technology, delivering high-end multidisciplinary capabilities, such as cochlear implant surgeries.

  • Specialized cochlea package for intraoperative 3D imaging with 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm edge length
  • Technological leadership with CT-like image quality
  • High-resolution imaging with 512³ voxel for much more precise localization of electrode array in CI
  • Benchmark dose settings and uncompromising image quality

3D imaging...

...plays a vital role in the planning, the implementation, control and, therefore, the successful placement of a cochlear implant.
