At Ziehm Imaging, we understand the importance to deliver well-suited tools for high-precision, intraoperative imaging, supporting the visualization of tiny electrode contacts within the cochlea.
That is why we now offer a dedicated cochlea package for our flagship Ziehm Vision RFD 3D CMOSline2. This system can be seen as new and innovative method that may have the potential to change the clinical procedure of cochlear implantation, achieving more accuracy for the placement while still in the OR.
The system offers an unprecedented performance across the most varied and challenging application spectrum. It combines 2D excellence with advanced intraoperative 3D technology, delivering high-end multidisciplinary capabilities, such as cochlear implant surgeries.
...plays a vital role in the planning, the implementation, control and, therefore, the successful placement of a cochlear implant.

Due to the use of the specialized Cochlea package with a volume edge length of 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm and a resolution up to 512³ voxel, the mobile 3D C-arm provides a suitable option for zoom-in or intraoperative imaging in cochlear implantation. The single electrodes with a width of only 0.3 mm are clearly displayed due to the latest enhancements with CMOS flat-panel technology. The implant can be differentiated from the bone very well to determine the exact position.
"Due to its higher resolution the Ziehm Vision RFD 3D CMOSline allows a much more precise localization of the electrode carrier for cochlear implants, especially in demanding anatomies."
